Day 14:  Heart

He stole my heart when I was 14 years old, and never gave it back.

lol. I thought it was in college when you failed the Shakespeare class?

What, that he returned my heart? Or that I snatched it back myself? No, he kept it even then, for the fault was mine. (And I didn't fail, btw, I got a C. But it felt like failing.)

awwwwwwwww presh. But seriously, 14? That's kind of amazing. I mean, I can understand it, especially since it's you, but yeah, still kind of amazing.

Well, at that age, my knowledge of Shakespeare consisted of a fairly deep (for a 14-year-old) knowledge of Romeo & Juliet (having memorized several passages and discussed the story ad infinitum with my R&J-loving friends)), a passing knowledge of The Tempest (having done a book report on it, and having understood only the funny parts), a vague memory of having watched Hamlet (remembering mostly that it ended with a corpse-strewn set), and a fair understanding of the basics of Shakespeare's life. But it was enough. I was a goner, and I never looked back.
