You can't teach surprise

I'm happy to report that the winner of the contest for The Tale of Despereaux is . . . Tyler! Congratulations!

That Tyler won is not too surprising. He had a 50-50 chance, after all. What's even more surprising is that I just realized that the guy who plays Darken Rahl on
Legend of the Seeker is the same guy that played Haldir the elf in The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers. It took me three months to figure that out. Duh.

Darken Rahl
I really liked Haldir. He was a good guy and I felt bad when he died. Rahl, however, is a bad guy and I suppose I should feel good when he dies.

Well I'm happy for Tyler but totally mad at myself! I forgot to do this one, I told myself I'd think about it and come back...and I didn't. Oh well, congrats to Tyler!

p.s. when haldir or whoever died it was one of the saddest moments in the film. :P

Oh wow! I'm so happy! There's so much I've been meaning to catch up with you about, I'll just toss in my new address too when I email you.

I was kinda like Marlyse, except that I didn't forget, I just didn't decide in time. I finally decided on which book I'd enter this morning while I was finishing up putting all the ingredients for corned beef and cabbage into the crock pots. Then I signed on to blogger and realized I was too late!
Oh well. Till next time!
Darken Rahl may be evil, but I think dark hair is more flattering on that guy than blond hair.
You should know that the word verification for me is 'booment'. I found that funny.

Congratulations, Tyler!! I always knew you had it in you. I also knew that you had a warped appreciation for horror. Now I know where it came from. You had some CRAZY dreams, you dopey kid. But look! It paid off! You won the contest and got a book that maybe you'll let me borrow!!
